Moozlie finally drops her debut offering, Victory

It’s a big day for Moozlie today as the multi-talented rapper and presenter dropped her much anticipated debut album, Victory. Victory is Moozlie’s way of introducing herself in the game as a formidable force to be reckoned with. At the same time, it’s also cementing the work that she has already put in.

Recorded entirely at the Red Bull Studios, the 14 track offering features the likes of Rouge, AKA, Yanga and Youngsta CPT to name a few in joints where Moozlie shows off her writing skills. She goes ham in tracks like Rap Therapy, Vatel and See The Sun. But also soft and wise in Victory and Be Somebody. She also showed her chilled and playful side with Swipe featuring Gemini Major.

Moozlie features variety of producers who helped her make her vision for this album possible

She also features up and coming producers who are making their own way in the game and the result is that they gave her beautiful beats that she could play around with.

“I needed people to understand the musicality in my mind and I feel like you can hear that in all the beats that I selected.”

We recently attended the listening session for Victory at the Red Bull studios. She spoke to us about the offering as well as why she decided to drop the album now.

“The album is called Victory and basically the name is self-explanatory man. It’s about celebrating where I am right now and where it is I hope to be in the future.”

She mentions that when she first started this album, she thought it was going to have heavy Afro-beats influences. She says: “But the first album is really about what you as a rapper have to say so I kinda had to stop the dancing, stop the fly shit and get to the rap shit.”

Victory is a full and balanced body of work which highlights Moozlie’s growth and authenticity as an artist. It’s currently available for purchase on all major digital stores.
