WATCH Behind The Scenes: Mafikizolo “Bathelele” Music Video

BATHELELE is their latest offering.

They need no introduction, the legendary Mafikizolo is an Afro-pop group/band made up of lead singer, composer Nhlanhla Sibongile Mafu Nciza and songwriter, composer, singer Theo Kgosinkwe. Their music is influenced by Kwaito and they have been credited with a genre called Kwela after their style of music.

The South African superstars, who performed all over the world and sold more than one million albums in their career invited zkhiphani to their music video shoot and gave us exclusive access to the making of the “Bathelele” video at the Lesedi Cultural Village in Lanseria.

The video focuses on the convergence of Africa and Asian cultures, The music video depicts Asian tourists who have just arrived in Africa for the first time and they are taken on a journey. They are taken to different parts of the country as they are initiated into different tribes.
