Ethereal Music Artist, Sio Breaks Down What The Highlight Of Her Career Has Been

Multi-faceted storyteller, Sio has been on the rise in the industry for some time now. The singer, songwriter and poet seamlessly weaves her stories though house, electronic, soul, hip hop and dance music.

We got an opportunity to speak to her at the Nando’s Basha In Casa. The Ennerdale born musician spoke to us about her rise in the game and how she got started. Explaining that she had a group of friends who made music and appreciated that she could write.

“Quite quickly I got a lot of like, cool producers’ attention and did like a couple of House songs”, she says. She has since worked with notable names in the electronic music scene including Luka, Jullian Gomes, rkls, Kid Fonque, Fred Everything, UPZ, Cuebur, Dwson And Charles Webster to name a few.

She also explains that she got to play a few gigs and performed live with other acts, touching on what her career highlight is so far. “… I played live with TomMisch, that was the highlight of my career so far, at least performing wise,” she mentions.

Basha in Casa is inspired by the annual Basha Uhuru festival, which is fired up by Nando’s and celebrates both the arts and the youth. It is just the perfect way to kick off Youth Month!
